- What is a hand-poked tattoo?
A tattoo made without machine, dot by dot, by poking a tattooing needle into the skin.
- But then does it hurt more than with machine?
Surprisefully not! All my customers are so shocked to find out it´s not painful, and most of them relax or fall asleep.
Of course sometimes it can hurt a bit, but it´s completely beareable.
- Oh, so it takes longer to tattoo than with machine?
Yeah, it´s a slow process, but it´s also calmer and quieter.
My full day sessions can take up to 4-7 hours tattooing time.
- Are this kind of tattoos permanent??
Of course they are, if tattooed and healed properly, every tattoo is permanent.
Hand-poking techniques have been used for way longer than modern machine made tattoos.
- Is the healing process the same as with machine?
Handpoked tattoos usually heal faster than the ones made with machine, but anyways each tattoo artist has their own aftercare, so just make sure you follow your artist´s recommendations and you´ll be fine.
